February 2009 - Mississippi Business Journal selected Charles F. F. Barbour as one of the recipients of the Top 40 Under 40 Award.
October 2008 - Andrew R. Wilson has joined our firm as an Associate. Andrew earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law, cum laude, in May 2008. While in law school, Andrew was an articles editor for the Mississippi Law Journal and a member of the Moot Court Board.
December 2007 - Richard T. Bennett chosen as the only Fellow from Mississippi in the American College of Civil Trial Mediators.
May 2007 - Richard T. Bennett listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers 2007 in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights.
November 2006 - Marcus M. Wilson listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers 2006 in Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights.
May 2006 - Richard T. Bennett was the recipient of the American Arbitration Association's Director of the Year Award.
June 2005 - Bennett Lotterhos Sulser & Wilson, P. A. celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary as a firm.
September 2000 - Charles F. F. Barbour of Yazoo City, Mississippi, a 1999 graduate of The University of Mississippi School of Law, joined our firm as an associate. Charles recently completed a one-year clerkship with the Honorable Neal B. Biggers, Jr., of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi at Oxford, Mississippi.
July 2000 - Richard T. Bennett assumed the office of President of The Mississippi Bar at its annual meeting in Sandestin, Florida. Dick was chosen, by popular vote of the membership, as The Mississippi Bar's President-elect in January, 1999.
October 1999 - Citibank recognized our firm as among its top five in the nation in overall effectiveness in representing its interests in litigation challenging bankruptcy fraud.
August 1999 - Bennett Lotterhos Sulser & Wilson, P.A., serving as plaintiffs' co-counsel in a federal class action, concluded a settlement which paid in excess of ten million dollars for thousands of Mississippi residents claiming personal injury and property damage from alleged environmental contaminations.
July 1999 - the University of Mississippi Institute for Continuing Studies, Center for Continuing Legal Education, published a practice handbook entitled Foreclosure Law in Mississippi. Richard T. Bennett, and Joseph E. Lotterhos , authored its chapters entitled, respectively, "The Effects of Bankruptcy on a Foreclosure Action," "Notice Requirements Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act," and "Judicial Foreclosure".
June 1999 - Joseph E. Lotterhos successfully argued an appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Federal Circuit in New Orleans, Louisiana. The decision of the Court is reported at In the Matter of Thomas Shannon Millette, 186 F.3d 638 (5th Cir. 1999).
